The lab opening took place 24 September 2021, Campus Oerlikon.

14:00 Registration desk opens
14:30 Greetings from the Vice President Research UZH, Elisabeth Stark, full professor of Romance Linguistics
14:35 Greetings from the Dean Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences UZH, Katharina Michaelowa, full professor of Political Economy and Development

Presentations by next generation UZH researchers, focus on brain, speech, and language related research questions.

Keynote speakers:

Nathalie Giroud (SNSF PRIMA professor) Preventing dementia by improving language processing in older adults: (How) does it work?

Lei He (SNSF Ambizione researcher) Untangling the nexus between what we sound like and how we look

Sebastian Sauppe (SNSF postdoctoral researcher) Dependency marking in sentence processing: Eye movements and neural oscillations

All attendees walk to Andreasstrasse 15, 8050 Zürich (5 minutes)
15:30 Coffee break (hall)
16:00 until 18:00: lab tours for small groups (basement)
16:00 until 18:00: poster session (AND hall) presenting LiRI services and collaborative research projects; demo presentations (AND 2nd floor), e.g.  mobile devices like eye trackers, LENA devices, and projects of the computational group
All attendees walk back to Binzmühlestrasse 14, 8050 Zürich (5 minutes)
18:00 Apéro riche, followed by a lab launch party
