LiRI's Dagmar Jung to Spotlight Linguistic Data at the University Library Zurich's Open Science Series

 
 
LiRI is excited to announce Dagmar Jung's upcoming talk, Open Research Data in Linguistic Data Collection and Fieldwork, scheduled in the Lunch & Learn Series on Open Science. This event is hosted by the University Library Zurich and will take place on December 3rd from 12 PM. The series is dedicated to exploring the facets of data management, open science, and engaging the research community in discussions around the ethical, legal, and practical aspects of managing research data and adhering to the FAIR principles.
 
Dagmar Jung's presentation will specifically delve into the challenges and opportunities of handling linguistic data in adherence to open science principles, providing valuable insights into the collection and fieldwork methodologies that underpin much of the groundbreaking research conducted at LiRI.
The event is scheduled to take place online via Zoom, offering a convenient lunchtime format that includes a thirty-minute lecture followed by an interactive Q&A session. This format is tailored to encourage participation from across the university and beyond, facilitating a rich dialogue on the nuances of open research data in linguistics.
