Digital infrastructure for Language Data in Switzerland: Current state and perspectives
It is our pleasure to invite you to attend the closing workshop of the FAIR-FI-LD project, which will be held on site at USI on June 23, 2025, and is dedicated to the topic of digital infrastructure for language data (register here).
What is this event about?
In Switzerland, infrastructure needs for research data are currently being discussed by the higher education institutions in a partly bottom-up process that involves researchers in various disciplines; the workshop intends to contribute to this debate with a focus on the language sciences, broadly speaking. We will discuss theoretical and methodological issues, look at some specific corpora gathered and hosted in Switzerland, and present the project results. FAIR-FI-LD is a collaboration between the University of Zurich, USI, ZHAW and CLARIN-CH, and is co-funded by a swissuniversities Open Research Data grant. During the workshop, members of the project team will dialogue with several invited speakers.
