Tannon Kew finished his PhD at the University of Zurich in December 2024. His research focused on controlling text generation from pretrained language models and covered a range of application areas, including review response generation, text simplification, and improving the multilingual capabilities of state-of-the-art chatbots. Prior to starting his PhD, Tannon obtained a Master's degree in Multilingual Text Analysis. This allowed him to combine his passion for languages with computational processing and gave him the opportunity to work on a diverse set of challenging tasks including multilingual corpus construction and speech-to-text for Swiss German. His research interests include:
